Our commitment to the environment and sustainable rentals
At Agathis Property Management, we believe that exceptional businesses go hand in-hand with environmental responsibility. Our journey to achieving Ekos Net Zero Carbon certification reflects our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and inspiring others in the property sector to do the same.
Why we are doing this
We manage properties with care, integrity, and innovation. By working towards net zero carbon emissions, we’re taking responsibility for our organisation’s footprint and leading by example. This mahi is about more than compliance—it’s about creating a better future for our communities, our clients, and our whenua.
Data
Our emissions data was collected across Scope 1, 2, and mandatory Scope 3 categories. While some Scope 3 data was estimated, we’ve worked diligently to ensure transparency and completeness.
Offsets
To meet our net-zero goal, we offset 100% of emissions with certified carbon credits and additionally, we support biodiversity conservation with biocredits. Below are some of the projects we have supported:
• Arahura Valley (NZUs) – Restorative native forest units
• Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari (SDUs) – Ekos Biocredita units
